IONIA. Uncertain. Circa 600-550 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 9 mm, 2.75 g), Phokaian standard. Goat (or Ibex) reclining left, head reverted to right, on raised circular disk. Rev. Rough incuse square. Gemini VI (2010), 158 (same dies). Leu Web Auction 18 (2021), 1195 (same dies). Nomos 12 (2016), 95 (same dies). Extremely rare, apparently the fourth and finest known example. A beautiful piece of wonderful Archaic style. Small edge cracks, otherwise, extremely fine.
